Gene-specific designs depict human genetic variants in either one or two DNA sequencing chromatograms, although they can be made to any species or DNA sequence. Genetic variants/mutations can be depicted as either homozygous or heterozygous, with or without amino acid translation, depending on whether the variant is in a protein coding gene. Depending on the complexity of the design and the availability of DNA sequence, prices can vary for this type of design but range from around AU$30 to AU$50. The image below is an example of a "2 chromatogram" gene-specific design that depicts the most common cystic fibrosis mutation.

When you order a custom Gene-specific design it will be sent to you by e-mail as a high resolution PNG image file. The image will have a transparent background and is suitable for printing on a variety of products, including T-shirts, mugs, etc. through many print on demand websites.
